A little bit about Mary Whittington

My interest in nutrition started with identifying my own food intolerances that were triggering health issues. I quickly realised what an important area of study this is and, whilst doing my course in nutritional therapy, I learnt how to look for the root cause of my symptoms and how to support my body back to health. A good nutrient intake through what we eat is fundamental to how our bodies run.. How I can help. With clients I take a holistic approach looking at diet as well as lifestyle, stress, environment and potential toxins within that environment, as these can all have a negative impact on our health. I have a particular interest in helping clients with food intolerance and allergies, gastrointestinal issues, skin conditions, weight management, fatigue and hormonal imbalances. When properly applied, nutritional therapy can have an extremely positive impact on health and wellness.. Consultations. For your first consultation, I will send you a three day diet diary to complete and bring with you. We will spend about 60-90 minutes going over your symptoms, previous health history and discussing the different systems in the body, food habits, likes and dislikes and lifestyle such as work/life balance, exercise etc.. Once I have the information I need, I will put this together into a personalised nutrition plan for you, which will be sent to you by email within 48 hours with a telephone conversation to explain and answer any questions you may have. A follow-up appointment will usually be booked in for 4-6 weeks after and will be used to check on your progress and to make any necessary adjustments to the personalised plan.
