I am a qualified, registered nutritionist with over 25 years experience in helping people to change their diet and improve their health and lifestyle. I work with a wide range of health conditions and have particular interest in weight management, gut health, food intolerance, thyroid health, and aiding blood glucose and cholesterol regulation. I have a background in health and fitness, so I also offer sports nutrition consultations and help with lean weight gain. I offer a wide range of tests such as food intolerance tests, stool tests, breath tests (SIBO), and salivary, urine and blood tests.. With a first class honours degree in Nutritional Medicine, my dietary advice is based upon evidence-based research. You can rest assured that there are no false claims or fad diets, and only safe, therapeutic healthy eating and supplement advice, hence my company strapline 'feeding you the right information'.. I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). You are assured of professional, caring and confidential practice at all times.. Where I practice nutritional therapy. I work from practices in Wadebridge and in Newquay. I have been a resident nutritionist for online Weight Loss Resources (, and am an assessor for the Institute of Optimum Nutrition.. In addition to writing nutrition, anatomy and physiology units for colleges and universities, I work as a nutrition consultant, providing nutrition information for various websites, collaborating on creating healthier menus, and doing nutrition talks for companies and groups.. My ethos. I aim to practice what I preach, and enjoy following a healthy diet myself, which helps to create some of the support tools I provide clients with when making diet or lifestyle changes. All clients are provided with a therapeutic eating plan, but also the psychological support and lifestyle tips to enable changes to take place. You aren't just given a diet plan and expected to get on with it!. How can nutritional therapy benefit you?. Nutritional therapy involves adapting your diet to provide the best possible nutrition for you as an individual, taking into account your goals and current health conditions. It is the practice of using foods and nutrients to enable your body to create optimal health. Nutritional therapy can be helpful for a wide range of health conditions.. I also provide advice on time restricted eating and intermittent fasting, rotation and exclusion diets, sports nutrition and advice regarding supplements.
