A little bit about Jane Bains

I am a fully qualified and insured BANT and CNHC registered Nutritional Therapist working from clinics in both Harpenden and Epping. I offer online consultations via Zoom.. I am committed to working with you to help improve your health and well-being - my job is to get to know you and how I can best help to address your health concerns. I do this by asking you to complete and return a 'Fact Finding Questionnaire' prior to the consultation. This provides me with a good overview of your health status along with details of any medications and supplements you are taking. There's also a section to complete on diet and lifestyle – more information to help me build up a comprehensive picture of what is going on and where improvements can be made. Where needed, I refer to the most up-to-date research on effective nutritional approaches to tackle your specific health concerns. During our one-to-one initial consultation I will use all of the information gathered to assess your nutritional status and put together a practical dietary and lifestyle programme, with your specific health goals in mind. Supplements and functional tests may also be recommended. I care about my clients and am committed to helping you achieve your personal health goals via a personalised and tailored nutritional approach.

I have worked in private practice for a number of years, working with many clients seeking nutritional advice to help improve their health and well-being.; My training is ongoing, and I continue to ensure my skills and knowledge are up-to-date and relevant by undertaking a minimum of 30 hours continued professional development each year. In October 2017 I am attending a three day conference with the British Society of Anti-Ageing Medicine, and in 2018 I'm looking forward to completing a five day training course - Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice.; Here's what some of my clients have to say:; "Jane is very easy to get on with and is extremely knowledgeable about how the body works and what it needs; she is able to explain the benefits of certain foods and supplements so even I could understand! What I really found inspiring were the tips and recipes she introduced me to, from simple suggestions such as eating organic wherever possible, to making my own hummus!"; "I fully embrace all the things I have learnt from seeing Jane going forwards in my new healthier life! I was really impressed by Jane's caring, scientific and thorough approach to helping me overcome my debilitating health issues."; "After 6 weeks of simply changing what and when I eat plus taking various supplements, my symptoms have dramatically improved! I am so very grateful to Jane. For 2.5 years before seeing Jane I had a series of blood tests and health checks but all to no avail!"; "Jane's assistance in restructuring my diet has significantly helped stabilise my weight fluctuations which has not only helped me to ward off midday fatigue but also allowed me to row and work my degree harder."; Member organisations; Accredited register membership
